In response to a number of clients asking him to source suitable guns for them, John became a Registered Firearms Dealer in April 2011.
He has developed a significant contact list of gun dealers, gunsmiths and equipment suppliers. He has trade accounts with many of these and is usually able to source whatever you seek.
Used guns currently for sale are initially advertised internally at the club for the benefit of club members, thereafter they are usually advertised on the Guntrader website.
Shotguns like cars need servicing and maintaining if they are to be kept functioning reliably. Many shooters believe that a ‘strip and clean’ means simply dismantling their gun into the three main component parts (stock, barrels and fore end) and wiping them through with an oily rag. However, every once in a while it is beneficial to have the gun fully stripped and cleaned by a professional gunsmith so that dirt and corrosion can be removed and any weak or damaged parts replaced to keep your gun in perfect working order. Once a year at the end of the season is quite sufficient for most shooters.
We can arrange or advise on gun fitting, stock repairs, barrel re-blacking and tightening processes. Our knowledge and network of gunsmiths usually enables us to provide you with the repair and service for the budget you desire.
